Construction activity on Intersection Road has ramped up with the launch of Phase 2 of the town’s infrastructure improvement project. This phase includes the installation of sanitary and storm sewers, marking a significant step forward in the multi-stage development.
Intersection Road has been closed to local traffic since late June to accommodate various construction activities, including watermain testing, commissioning, and the installation of private sanitary service connections. The road will remain closed to local traffic until the project is complete to ensure a safe work environment for crews.
As work progresses, traffic may also be restricted from crossing Intersection Road at St. Anne Street, Herbert Street, and Shawnee Road, depending on construction conditions.
Weather permitting, sewer installation, paving, and restoration are expected to be completed by late November or early December.
