Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Services has officially added a powerful new asset to its fleet: Truck 1, a 100-foot aerial platform apparatus. The new truck was welcomed during a traditional “push-in ceremony” at Fire Hall #1, attended by members of Town Council and Fire Services. This longstanding tradition dates back to the days when fire engines were pushed into the station by hand, and continues today as a symbolic gesture for the arrival of new apparatus.
Truck 1 features a 100-foot ladder, offering enhanced rescue and firefighting capabilities for residential, commercial, and industrial responses. The state-of-the-art vehicle is equipped with cameras on all sides and advanced aerial operation controls, providing safer, smoother operation. Its improved steering and handling allow for superior maneuverability on both the scene and the street, marking a significant upgrade from the previous model.
