The Belle River District High School (BRDHS) Nobles are off to a strong start in their fall sports campaigns, posting wins and showcasing teamwork across volleyball, basketball, football, golf, cross-country, and tennis.

The junior boys volleyball team started the season with a 2-1 record, recently defeating UMEI, while the senior boys squad has dominated its first five games, including a 3-0 victory over Brennan and a nail-biting 29-27 win against St. Cécile.

On the hardwood, the junior girls basketball team continues to improve with every match, highlighted by a win over Catholic Central led by top scorer Lillian Ashton. Meanwhile, the senior girls basketball team remains undefeated at 6-0, edging Erie Migration 42-41 with strong performances from Julia Cooney and Gabriella Draca.

The football team has also maintained an unbeaten league record, including a 29-12 victory over Riverside, while the golf team, led by captain Nash Raymond, finished in the top ten at the WECSSAA championships, advancing to SWOSSAA competition.

In cross-country, novice runners Nola Groot and Ephram Impens impressed at the “Thrill on the Hill” meet, while senior runners Gabrielle Draca and Ronnie Bondy posted strong finishes.

The tennis team made history as Alex Bially and Nash Raymond captured the SWOSSAA boys’ doubles championship, earning a spot at OFSAA — the school’s first SWOSSAA title since 2018.

BRDHS athletes are demonstrating skill, dedication, and determination this fall. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Nobles as their seasons continue.
